The hidden Grassland spans over a 100miles of pure grass, hills, trees, bushes and shrubs. The wildlife here are very meek and timid. They scare easily.

The perfect place for two titans to do battle.

First post - Ketsugo Uzumaki
Second Post - Suzaku Goka

It was written. that in the fabrics of time and space a legend would walk through with great anticipation, and so the continuum opened. As the ripple resonated into vertical lines, fingers were at the edges pulling in opposite directions to unveil the curtains. Seemingly tearing apart of the dimensional walls, albeit harmless and without effort, the cosmos was being welcomed by the mere physical position of the silhouette within the vast expanse of the world. Entering the planets plane was a Sage, one of vast reputation within the shinobi world and now known to the wiles of the cosmos. He was undeniable in not just status, but also birthright - as an unprecedented member of the Uzumaki clan and the strongest of the bloodline within recorded history. As an individual with access to all records of time within the multiverse, as a result of the Waters of Time, he used it to fulfill the prophecy to face off against someone that would be passing through, Suzaku of the Demon Flames.

A man also renowned as the God Sage, it made the Lord of the Uzumaki chuckle at the moment his foot landed on the grasslands. The alias of being a god, in the shinobi world meant you were beyond it, catapulting to heights where there was no comparison and this intrigued Ketsugo. Such an alias was only fitting of those deserving, especially when considered - God Sage. An immortal person who too is a being of divinity, or rather some believe. Another chuckle released from the mans departed lips, into a vibrant laughter that would continue on for several seconds before dwindling into silence. The man he was intending to face against would be arriving soon, and with the closed eyelids the Divine Orbs of Time would be hidden.

Upright in posture the six foot giant stood calm and relaxed, free and unbothered like the birds which arrived to rest upon the man's shoulders. The clothing worn were standard jounin long-sleeves and pants, with standard shoes of a shinobi. Albeit, Ketsugo was unlike any other as he was one of the few that existed in a State of Sage. A being who transcended the understanding of shinobi, only to be comprehended by those who too closed the gap between the heavens or sunken worlds. With his eyes closed, Ketsugo remained alert and completely aware of the surrounding environment.

"Will the Phoenix arise as the sun or mere embers?"

Suzaku of the Demon Flames
19d8837cdca87008179270ad6c1a7de3.png

Wandering amongst the majestic clouds upon an unaccompanied sky was no other than the Fire Sage himself. Pressing his weight against a singular leaf, his mass seemed vacant as he loosely rested amongst what at first glance, looked like an ordinary leaf. The fooliage was constructed of a plant that was divine in nature. It's capabailities were unworldly and bizare from those who were not familiar with the Land of Bamboo's. With blood-drenched vermilion-colored hair and eyes, the gigantic man stood still with his arms folded amogst his chest. Staring blankly at the blue-hue canvas the guru mind processed thoughts that he didn't know were possible. The Fire Demon whose body was assembeled from the firey embers emitted innate abilities that seemed like they had no switch-off-button. A guru whose existence spanded centuries helped the man grasp an understanding of the capabilities that did not seem obtainable. Closing his eyes briefly, the memories of Ketsugo Uzumaki, appeared within Suzaku's mental plane to the point he could remember the man's chakra source to a tee. With a powerful relic known as the Seers Orb of Ten Heads, the crystal ball sealed within's Suzaku's body allowed him to do what he wished to see about the Uzumaki Lord whose body physically remained of this world. Mimicking a statue, the Fire Sage's eyes closed as his mind traversed the Shinobi World in search of the man who cursed his memories. There he was in the Hidden Grass Land. Regardless of the distance and potential obstructions, the guru was able to comprehend the current activities of the former Hokage. Delicately the leaf surrendered to the Earth's gravitational pull and becoming to a complete halt. The ten meters long and six meters wide leaf gently brushed among Suzaku's feet as he now stoof only 50 feet from his opponent.

Back turned towards the Uzumaki Lord, Suzaku's head slightly shifted towards the red-haired shinobi who too was considered a Sage. The vermillion surgeeon's eyes throbbed as he could gradually feel the chakra collected there. His red orbs focused on the individual whose hue was now orange and a bit of yellow. Suzaku of the Demon Flame infamous member of the Goka Clan, Kashogan's was far more advance than any other descendant of the clan. Advancing and strengthing his eyes to great lengths, his hidden dojutsu had become pinicle of sensory, medical, and diabolical ninjutsu. With heat vision he was able to pick upfluctuations just by looking at his target. If someone got anxious or scared, Suzuaku could spot their nose turning blue because all their blood flowing away from the outer layer of the body to fuel their muscles for fight or flight. Today's spar objective was simple. Use the Uzumaki Lord as a stomping ground to learn my limits. This simple yet singular thought lingered in Suzaku's head.

Suzaku long mane reached just above his rear and its cut at the edges straight across while bangs of varying length cover the sides of his face.
Across his chest are the beads worn by one of the many guru who taught him in the eastern mountains; they are black in color. While in his youth he wore much more gold and precious crystals, he settles for a "modest" 24 carat gold ring with a stone said to be able to buy ten mountains all by itself—so he claims. Though his tool pouches are concealed beneath the vermilion colored haori he wears, they are filled to the brim with items of various purposes from alcoholic beverages to pictures of his wife and children. Wrapped around his waist is the mythical Sash of Subjugation (帯の討伐, "Obi no Tōbatsu", English TV; "Suppression Cloth"), an item he refuses to divulge how and when he acquired it. On Suzaku's forehead is a crescent moon shaped seal while beneath his right eye are two claw shaped markings made of face paint. He most usually has a grimace plastered on when not drinking or breaking out into random, cackling laughter. Suzaku wears modest black sandals and eggshell-white. The human furnace body naturally emitted imense heat that gradually became unbearable to withstand. In tune with his environment, the surgeon waited for his opponent to present his first attack. Aware of his opponents abilities, Suzaku already harnessed powered to counteract all what was to come his way.

Both eyelids continued shut, hiding the unique ocular pattern of the Divine Orbs of Time. Ketsugo eyes did not need to be open to perceive the world, the reason for this is the utilization of the Kagura Shinigan Technique, which he has unprecedented mastery with. From an outside perspective, it would appear disrespectful as if the Lord of the Uzumaki had no interest, and would this posture held by the Uzumaki Lord go on to ignite the Goka’s hubris?

Ketsugo was able to read the chakra signature of Suzaku the moment the man entered his sensory radius, that which at base spans several miles. Taking into account the man’s developed chakra pathway system, the reserve of chakra, physical height, mass, and all materials upon him gave Ketsugo great insight into the man and his arsenal. With the Flow of The Physical World, there was never really anything for the Uzumaki to be concerned for, except things in relation to the spiritual world. There was another advantage Ketsugo had, that being his encounter with the Nine-Tailed Demon Fox that the Uzumaki used to apply fuinjutsu upon allowing access to the negative emotion sensory technique.

As Suzaku descended to the earth, Ketsugo made sure to take observation of the majestic leaf. It was ironic, considering heat and flames often followed the sage, two factors that should destroy foliage. Did it mean this leaf had additional properties other than transportation? It would be something to keep in mind for the duration of the coming bout, as the utilities of the thick green leaf could be more than currently displayed, and dismissing it entirely could be a mistake later on.

Fifty feet was the distance Suzaku stood from the thirteenth Hokage, whose back faced the great Uzumaki. A sign of irritation rose on the face of the Sage as tension within the jawline was shown by muscle contraction, raising the right side of the man's lips who parted by a fraction of a centimeter. With the concentration of chakra within Suzaku's head, particularly for the utilization of the Goka's, Kashogan. Ketsugo became aware of the rise in temperature surrounding Suzaku, as well as the impact it had on the atmosphere, causing a slight increase in the atmosphere heaviness which too the Uzumaki was comforting.

"Wouldn't you agree, it is time to begin?

Dance of the Red Magician'

At the end of the rhetorical question, Ketsugo had used a hand seal, doing so expeditiously. Executed with blinding speed that would be imperceptible to even the Sharingan. Ketsugo left fist had pointed upward, index finger raised. Using his right hand to grip the index finger, while using the thumb to press onto the index's fingernail. The Retsu mudra seal was performed, delivering the requirements for the following phenomenon to occur.

The sky was showered with broad clouds, a massive one naturally descended a shadow over Sage's location for one mile. The consistency of the mantle shifted its natural state from water to ink, the saturation and concentration of chakra causing rain droplets to form within that began to descend onto the battlefield. The speed was not natural, traversing at the speed of a gun. The ink threatened mobility, as it would shower the entire location underneath with itself. As well as restricting visual acuity, as it would shroud the gap in between both men in redness. The air thickened across the radius of the cloud, and a foul smell followed. It would take only two seconds for the battlefield to be drenched as the rain came from the billow. For one minute it would appear as blood showered the earth. What would Suzaku do to stop the oncoming assault?

Suzaku of the Demon Flames
19d8837cdca87008179270ad6c1a7de3.png

The greatest weakness that the Thirteenth Hokage was inherently born with was not being a descendant of the Goka Clan. Lacking the fluids and fire chakra of the clan immediately became his downfall and he would gladly show him why. The only thing that the Uzumaki Lord shared in common with Goka was their unpredictability. Massing experience and sagacious knowledge, Suzaku knew far too well to let his guard down against an enemy who specialized in fuinjutsu. It was without the secret that the man who stood before him was a master of the sealing arts, and his powers were rumored to be unmatched. The most important part of the sentence was "rumored", and the surgeon wanted to see if this was factual. The human furnace's body continuously emitted unmatched heat that gradually increased every second that Suzaku graced his presence. The Uzumaki Lord's body had not been built for this type of inferno and would fall victim to this crematory style of a jutsu. Drenched in sweat, if Ketsugo had not noticed his body was already moving at a pace that was slower than usual. The Fire Sage's body temperature soared well above 100 degrees and begin to create an intense wave of heat. This innate ability only become more troublesome as Suzaku emitted chakra from his body that sizzled and burned with a sizzling sound. Standing still as if immobilized, Suzaku of the Demon flames abilities bested the speed of Ketsugo's attack as his first mistake was finding the Sage's heat to be comforting.

The Demon surrounded himself with an inflammable aura subconsciously being constructed of both Katon and yang chakra natures. The massive chakra reserves released a powerful force of pressure, heat, and destruction as this was none other than a shockwave that measured a 1.2-mile radius. The prolonged period of high temperatures ignited a natural disaster that not only evaporated the ink but deflected the evaporated red mist due to the powerful winds thrusting it far beyond the battlefield as if it ceased it from existing. The hidden grassland within the 1-mile radius was set ablaze, nothing but dark heavy smoke polluted the once beautiful scenery, and the fresh air smelt of acrid. Suzaku had yet to erect a powerful ninjutsu technique, as his natural ability to produce immense body heat and the releasing of chakra was able to disperse both his opponent's jutsu and the natural greenery. The battlefield resembled that of the battlefield of the first and second shinobi world, all that was missing was liquid flesh and bruised bones. The mystical foliage that laid dormant under the Sage's feet was unscared despite the immense destruction. Suzaku's arms spread out in an exaggerated fashion as he formatted unfamiliar hand seals. If all eyes were on him the air shook as one could feel a disturbance within his chakra. The conjured hand seals and releasing of the jutsu seemed simultaneously as his mastery of the Contemporaneous Ninjutsu allowed him to sprout not one, but two jutsu's at blinding speeds.

Using his own body as a medium, the chakra he emitted erected into something otherworldly. The circular fish net-like dome surrounded Suzaku in a 30 feet radius further causing sizzling from the ground below as it was too at fault for soil erosion due to the dome traveling underground as well. Beside Suzaku, were four figures manufactured from both fire and yang who mimicked the appearance of their summoner. Not only were physical features copied but the JujiHoka Gates surrounded them and the kunai's within their right hands as well. Linked with his clones on a telepathic network, it had already been communicated what was needed to be done. Unsure of the real Suzaku, one stayed back as the three other Suzaku begin to put their plan in motion. Adrenaline coursed through their veins, while they maintained a steady breath as the three figures traversed throughout the battlefield. Their feet naturally created a form of traction compared to the Body Flicker Technique dismantling his opponent anytime to weave the necessary hand seals for a counter-attack. Launching the kunai's 30 feet above kunai concurrently, the kunai spun wildly, hitting one another and changing its trajectory. As one remained in the air a second longer than the remaining two, the other two pierced the ebony ground within a 10 feet radius. Both kunai laid dormant on both the left and right of Ketsugo, as the last one swiftly rained down from the sky attempting to pierce through Ketsugo's skull. This was only used for supplementary purposes as it most likely would land behind the Uzumaki Lord had he seamlessly dodged it. The gigantic men's bodies briefly faded from existence and then reappeared near the Ketsugo who was now within in breathing room. With fist latched together the three shinobi that peered from the three different angles (left, right, and forward), violently swung at the Uzumaki Lord. Each of their punch is within full motion and control, allowing for one to stop and change the trajectory of their attack if needed.

Still standing approximately 50 feet away from his opponent, the remaining Suzaku's body was restless and had not moved inched within the battlefield. Possessing a powerful orb within his body, Suzaku was able to cast a technique that was comparable to Ketsugo's Mind Eye. Utilizing the power of the orb, Suzaku wished to see the whereabouts of Ketsugo had he vanished and reappeared elsewhere. So long as Suzaku had the spiritual energy or chakra signature of a Ketsugo remembered he'd be able to seek out his opponent, regardless of his distance or plane of existence, so long as he is alive. With the conjunction of the Kashogan and the Seers Orb of Ten Heads, it was impossible for the Uzumaki to escape detection.

Ketsugo of the Inudating Ink

Listen While Reading
There was a miscalculation made and a mistake on the battlefield could prove costly. Mistakes to a shinobi are always dangerous, as they could lead someone into a situation that could not be anticipated. And there was a mistake by Suzaku of the Demons Flames, not because of his lack of ability or talent but rather the reliance on his natural abilities. The heat that emitted from the man could easily slow down a veteran shinobi, as the man was a literal furnace if not much more fearsome. Suzaku was radiating with heat that was traveling in the distance, permeating its temperature over the environment and all those underneath it, including Ketsugo. However, the Sage would not slow down. This was for a variety of reasons, considering the man naturally has built up resistance to varying temperatures during his time with the Isle of the Elephants. Allowing his body to endure the coldness of the water until it reaches the freezing point, thus being thirty-two degrees Fahrenheit as well as taking on the heated temperatures of one-hundred and twenty degrees Fahrenheit, similar to hot tap water from a sink. Between the temperatures, Ketsugo would fare for a long time although, at the end of a ten-minute duration substantial damage would be done if temperatures met his resistance point. With at least a twenty-degree difference between his resistance level, Ketsugo was unbothered but comforted by Suzaku's natural heat. In addition, the sealing formula encased across the Uzumaki flesh has great resistance to heat as well, due to its nature - which allows it to only succumb to the greatest levels of heat, and this level of temperature against the short-haired man was nothing but child play. An unfortunate reality the Goka would have to observe, because, at this level, Ketsugo and his ink remained unaffected by the heat. The heat would need to be comparable to Amaterasu. With no signs of discomfort, no signs of incoming injury, Ketsugo's actions continued despite the actions of the Goka.

1952C82A-E3F9-4358-9948-4EEB9C214ABD.png

At the point, before Katon and Yoton chakra was expended to encase around Suzaku, Ketsugo switched back to utilizing the Kagura Shingan Technique, trusting the will of his within the ink to fulfill the duties to the utmost capacity. The Uzumaki perception would not lag for even a picosecond or for anything faster, unless when casting a technique to only switch back nigh instantaneously afterward. The man was in tune with time and space as it had occurred within reality. And with the temperature increase based on the Goka's chakra expenditure, to fuel the conditions in favor of whatever ploy was being designed the Uzumaki did not bother to move, he did not see a reason to yet but soon it would be revealed why. Was it arrogance or was it confidence? Time would only tell if his belief led him to demise. With the abrupt release of the massive heated technique, a thunderous explosive sound had been added on top of the constant sizzling. In the midst of the rain droplets' descent, they were interrupted by heat that threatened to evaporate it. Three factors were involved here are unknown to Suzaku, the heat resistance point as well as the fundamental components that bonded the ink. Thus is the Yoton and Inton styles, which nullifies all effectiveness of ninjutsu-based techniques. Including the foundation of natural energy existing within to enhance strength and durability, and with the connection to the waters of time there will never be a moment without. These same fundamentals followed Ketsugo's ink and are the foundation behind many of the Lord's techniques. As the rain droplets fell through the sky, they were able to survive the heat conditions but were impeded by the force and pressure. Deflected and tossed aside were the rain droplets, some broken down into smaller masses. All of the droplets were outside of the radius, pushed back by the explosive force, and would remain there printed on soils and materials within and outside of the cloud radius. During the midst of the disaster, Ketsugo would not be a fool and based on his conscious observation, his unconsciousness controlled the escape route by opening the space-time continuum behind. It allowed the man to take a step back, which allowed the man to slip out of harm's way by entering the opening allowing the man to enter the Ageless Canvassing Seal continuum. Rerouted immediately upon the monstrous cloud above, certainly could shock the Fire Sage. With both eyes now opened, although slightly, the vast expanse of the battlefield was literally before him. More importantly, Suzaku Goka surprised Ketsugo based on the amount of power the man was willing to release early on and so the debt would be repaid.

Listen While Reading

It may come as a surprise, however, the cloud above did not wither away from the atmosphere as the droplets of rain. For the same exact reasons, the heat would be ineffective, in addition to considering mass the weight of mile-long cloud was too heavy to blow away as the present conditions stand. A normal cloud equates to nearly nigh innumerable tonnes, and with the billow state being that of blood and indelible ink - the mass because of the accumulation would substantially be harder to move by the unfocused pressure and force currently exuded. The viscid substance is prolonged in the atmosphere, by the will of the Uzumaki via the Ageless Canvassing Seal. Albeit, slightly adjusting its time limit considering the descent of rainfall currently subsided. Therefore, the potential time frame was going to be extended but with added weight gradually descend closer to earth over time. With a new course of action, Ketsugo looked towards the surface. To be honest, he did not anticipate the foliage to be evaporated and required a new course of action. Taking a piece of mass off the cloud, Ketsugo, stood upon an ink platform the size of a twin-size mattress. Standing at the edge, the man saw the pervasive smoke that showered further than the billow he stood upon did. With the confidence Suzaku exuded, it would be unlikely that the man became privy to the man's whereabouts. This is because during Goka's supposed attack sequence, amidst the timing of actions being committed where chakra sensory would not be viable, Ketsugo left behind a clone made directly out of ink that formed immediately. Timed precisely with the motion of chakra utilization for the space-time technique as well as the expenditure of the opponent's chakra for the explosion. In addition, his own mastery over Contemporaneous Ninjutsu would make the deception more effective. Ironically, both sages were skilled at this technique. With Ketsugo's escape disguised and continued showered by the mass in the atmosphere, it would be impossible to detect his precise location. And now with the clone in the exact position to take on Suzaku's assault, the target was connected with and the replacement took on the role as the Goka's objective. From the left, right, and front fist collided against Ketsugo, as well as the kunai, hitting their designated mark. It was a clone designed by particular ink, that allowed it to stay in position without dissipating. Within this darkened and polluted space, it was useless to rely on one's visual prowess because of the shroud and the possible debris of material. Thus, making out the physical appearance of another hard to see, at least regularly even in close proximity. As soon as each fist connected with the doppelganger, the defensive mechanism of the man's ageless canvassing seal would kick in - jumpstarting a sealing formula that immediately came into effect upon the opponent's fist at awe-inspiring speed. It was none other than a precaution set up, within the Ageless Canvassing Seal which acted to restrict the chakra flow and mobility of the targets. The technique was none other than the Kajū Ankā, using most of the chakra reserves of the seal to facilitate its purpose and maintain its functionality, albeit losing its connection to Ketsugo, but maintaining the Kage will.

Ketsugo himself had not initiated an attack yet, all that was had done to this point was by means of the extension of his layers of consciousness in the Ageless Canvassing Seal. One involved escaping and another supplementing the disguised escape with a beneficial preparation, that served as a catalyst for locking and making it impossible for swift chakra utilization and mobility of the opponent's direct attacks. The ink clone served its purpose, and then the clone dissolved completely into the fuinjutsu, reinforcing its hold and strength.

Looking down over the edge of the red cloud, one that fervently cast over the battlefield Ketsugo spoke profoundly and in an uncharismatic and terrifying tone that permeated throughout the atmosphere.
"Red Canvas Technique: Ōgamizō Continent"

The Lord of the Uzumaki had a thought in mind, it required the physical action to do so as well as the mental ability to picture what was imagined. It was something that he had seen in the smoke, through the screen of haze the man was able to see a picture. It was unlikely to be noticed by anyone because until moments ago it did not exist anymore, lost to most in history but only those knowledgable to lore could be privy to it. Extending his left hand, Ketsugo spread his fingertips wide and began to seemingly claw at the space in front, craving out what he was observing within his Mind and as he did so the cloud on the ground that spread over a mile long would begin to consolidate at a rate that was beyond the imagination of most. Drawing to a specified point on the ground, the raging pressure and force were pulled together, compressed, and condensed into a one thousand three hundred and twenty feet tall and fifty feet in width. Sharpened and purposed for design, the figure conformed into a spine-chilling beast, its globe lightened up as the remaining smoke lingered around himself. The shadow of the red cloud descended on the battlefield, its focused and attention upon the individual Suzaku of the Demon flames. A creature designed by the natural burnt materials and the light and shadow style chakra of the Zo Sage, creating a wraith - one whose makeup was that of ash and given its commands by the consciousness imparted within. Seemingly dropped upon one knee while the other raised, facing the direction of the Fire Sage the wraith opened its mouth. A ghastly hollow tone radiating outwards, warning that danger was near and soon to becoming the man's way. A creature inspired out of the disaster started, soon looked to impart it ferociously. As the creature looked down at the man, the materials on the battlefield it observed, quickly lifted up its massive left arms that quickly came downwards, aiming to smash Suzaku into the ground with enough volatile force. Causing the ground to explode underneath the man, sending the debris of soil outwards in all directions. Not worried about the fire net or any incoming chakra uninspired by senjutsu. Such a destructive strike would sink the man at least ten meters beneath the surface, cracking the man's skull and executed at the pace of a mastered body flicker. Should the man avoid the strike by side-stepping, the wraith would send out another strike to counter the man's mobility that could cause another strike to land on the surface. As a result, causing a surmounted force of energy outwards that would disrupt the balance of the surface making it impossible for landing and standing at the mass a human could hold. With the ground assault on, Ketsugo was a mile and half in the atmosphere with the cloud reading the situation reading for the next course of action. With both aerial advantage and ground pressure, what would be the actions of the Fire Sage? A word of encouragement was given by the wraith, as old as the voice of the hills ranged its ghastly tone permeated the region.
